As summer ended, Highland Community College Technical Center’s LPN to RN Bridge program held the associate degree in nursing (ADN) graduation ceremony, Friday, Aug. 8, 2025, in Culbertson Auditorium on the Highland campus.
A total of 18 students successfully completed the program, with 10 graduates participating in the ceremony. The event was well attended by proud family members, friends and HCC faculty, staff, administrators and Board of Trustees members — all there to celebrate the achievements of the nursing students
During the ceremony, several students were recognized for outstanding accomplishments:
- Alexis Edelman received the Academic Excellence Award
- Megan Knudson was honored with the Leadership in Nursing Award
- Letitia Diefenbach earned the Florence Nightingale Nursing Excellence Award
The graduates now move forward to the next step in their professional journey—preparing
to take the NCLEX-RN exam, required for licensure. The program continues to demonstrate
its excellence in nursing education, achieving a 93.10% NCLEX pass rate for the 2024
calendar year.
Director of Nursing, Dr. Patty Palmietto, shared her pride in the graduating class, "The RN nursing students have trained and studied many hours to prepare them for this moment. They are ready to go out into the world and make a difference in healthcare and the lives of those they touch."
Congratulations to the Class of 2025 ADN graduates as they embark on their careers in nursing, ready to serve their communities with skill, compassion and dedication.
